What are the requirements to join the Pakistan Army Through Armed force Nursing Services(AFNS)?
- Only females can apply for armed force nursing services.
- Candidates who apply for BSc nursing must be unmarried, divorced, or widowed. Those who are trained nurses no matter if married or both can apply for Armed Force nursing services.
- Candidates higher should be minimum of 5 feet and weight should be according to body mass index.
- The nationality of the Candidate should be Pakistan and the domicile holder of Gilgit Baltistan or Azad Kashmir can also apply for AFNS.
- Candidates who are selected for BSc nursing will be given 4-year education at CMH Lahore, CMH Kharian, CMH Quetta, CHM Karachi, etc.
- Candidates selected for the Trained nursing Commission will get 6 months of training at CMH Kharian and AFPGMI Rawalpindi.
Finally, selected candidates have to sign a bond to serve the Pakistan army for a minimum period of 10 years in the case of the BSC nursing Commission.

AFNS - BS nursing commission:
For BSc, nursing candidate qualification should we matric with 60% marks and FSC free medical with minimum 50% marks. Candidate age should be from 17 years to 25 years for AFNS - BS Nursing.
Trained Nurse as lieutenant :
To join the Pakistan army through AFNS As Trained nurse Candidate qualification should be BSc nursing for postgraduate diploma registered with Nursing Council in ICU, CCU, OT, or any related field.
Note for BS Nursing:
Candidates who have passed their offensive pre-medical part 1 examinations with a minimum of 50% marks can also apply for Armed force nursing services with the hope certificate from the head of the institution.
How to register for Armed Forces Nursing Service in Pakistan(AFNS)?
To register yourself for the Pakistan army, armed forces nursing services Commission, either you can apply online for AFNS through their official website or you can visit the nearest Army selection and recruitment center with required documents.
Documents required for Armed Forces Nursing Service(AFNS) :
- Candidates have to submit two attested photocopies of all certificates, degrees, and diplomas.
- Candidates who are already serving in any government department should have to submit the NOC from the concerned department
- Attested photocopy of CNIC and domicile.
- Three passport size color photographs should be attested from both sides.

Preliminary Selection procedure for AFNS:
Candidates who Register themselves for AFNS will be called for an initial medical test at Army Selection and Recruitment Center.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by General headquarters. The final selection of the candidates will be made at the general headquarters by keeping in mind the overall performance of candidates at GHQ.
