Scope Career Biochemistry in Pakistan Admission, Career, Jobs, Salary, Future. Biochemistry is used in a variety of areas related to biology, such as the food industry, farming industry, pharmaceutical industry, botany, and so on. They collaborate closely with specialists in these areas. This is a field where you can quickly make a rewarding career.
What is Biochemistry?
Biochemistry is a branch of science that deals with the study of all the chemical substances such as proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids as well as all the chemical processes that take place in the body of living organisms.
Some people say that biochemistry is the sub-discipline of biology and some say that biochemistry is the sub-discipline of chemistry. I think the debate on this point is useless. We should debate on the importance of biochemistry or how biochemistry is improving our lives.
So, here I am going to share with you the importance of biochemistry as we know that biochemistry studies the chemical processes and chemical nature of all substances that occur in our body. Biochemistry has helped us a lot in understanding the complex processes of digestion, Kreb cycle, respiration, photosynthesis as well as hormonal reaction and different problems related to them. With the help of biochemistry, scientists are discovering new drugs in the field of pharmacology, good fertilizers in the field of agriculture, new products in different industries such as food and chemical. Moreover, biochemistry helped a lot in the field of cell biology, immunology, enzymology, pharmacology, etc.
