Karnataka will Host the Second Khelo India University Games 2021
The second edition of Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2021 will be held in Karnataka, which will be announced by the Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri B.S. Yeddyurappa and Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju.
KIUG is the largest university sport in the country which aims to find sports talent who can represent the country at an international level competition such as Olympics. The first phase of KIUG was held in Bhubaneswar in February 2020.
Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2021 will be hosted by JAIN (Deemed-to-Be University) Bengaluru in partnership with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In 2021, Yogasan and Malkhamb have been added to the University Games 2021 in an effort to preserve and promote the age-old sports themes of the country.
- According to the World University Games Norms, U-25 is organized in the age group.
- KIUG is the largest university sport in India and aims to exploit sports talent who represent India in international competitions including the Olympics.

- In this, 3182 athletes in the U-25 age group participated in 158 universities and colleges in all states.
