How to Check your Family Tree Record from NADRA Verify with SMS. NADRA has started a campaign against fake digital ID cards and launched a new system of verification and renewal of identity cards. Through this new verification system, people can check/ verify their family records from NADRA just by sending an SMS. And NADRA will send him/ her complete family tree including his parents' names, spouse name and names of the children as available in the NADRA record. If you see any mismatch in the record or found any irrelevant name in your family records, contact to the NADRA immediately for correction.
NADRA introduced a new system against fake entry in the family number of citizens for fake identity cards. Citizens will be able to identify unrelated people in the family tree through SMS. Now every Pakistani can verify that no stranger or unrelated person is registered in his family.

How to Verify your Family Records from NADRA with SMS
SMS your National Identity Card number with the date of issue to 8009 from your registered mobile number in NADRA. In reply, you will receive details of your family members. If any information is incorrect or the name of a stranger or unrelated person is included in the family, send 1 in reply the SMS to inform NADRA, the representative of NADRA will contact you in this regard. If all the information is correct, write 2 and send an SMS and confirm the information to NADRA.
In order to avail this service, it is necessary to send the SMS from the same registered mobile number which was provided at the NADRA Registration Center at the time of making the ID card or “B” form. If your mobile number is not registered with NADRA, you can visit any NADRA center for registration or change of mobile number. This facility is provided free of cost at all NADRA Registration Centers.
If the family details received through SMS do not contain the details of any family member, you can go to any NADRA Registration Center and register it.
- From your registered mobile number in NADRA, send SMS "your National Identity Card number space date of issue in dd-mm-yyyy format to 8009. In reply, you will receive details of your family members (Family Tree).
- If the family includes the name of an unrelated person, send 1 in reply to the SMS. A representative of NADRA will contact you in this regard.
- If the information is correct, send 2 in reply to the SMS and confirm the information to NADRA.
- If your mobile number is not registered with NADRA, you can register your number free of cost from any of the nearby NADRA offices. And send your CNIC details to 8009 again for details. You will receive your family details.
How to get NADRA's Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
Alternatively, you can apply for Family Registration Certificate (FRC). It provides details about your family composition. You can apply for your FRC by either visiting NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through the Pak-Identity website.
