Medical Entry Tests
Entry test after FSc pre-medical
National MDCAT
MDCAT is the most popular, demanded, and dream of most medical students because after passing this exam with a good percentage they get admission in any medical university in Pakistan on merit. MDCAT is a specific exam only for the students who are interested to get admission in medicine or dentistry after FSc pre-medical in Pakistan. If you want to become a doctor or dentist in Pakistan then you must have not only pass the MDCAT entrance exam with good marks but with a high percentage. Usually, National MDCAT Registration starts 4 to 5 months before, and in 2021, PMC has announced that the registration process for National MDCAT will start from 22 August 2021 through the online website and registration will be open till 28 November 2021.
Now, I am going to share with you some important points about National MDCAT which are given below:
⦁ You should have a minimum of 60% marks in FSc pre-medical.
⦁ There will be no type of negative marking in the exam.
⦁ The MDCAT syllabus will be improved by PMDC.
⦁ National MDCAT will be of 200 marks means there will be 200 MCQS each containing 1 mark.
⦁ The National MDCAT syllabus will be the same for all provinces
⦁ National MDCAT aspirants are now eligible to get admission in any medical college of Pakistan in any province after passing National MDCAT with the Highest percentage.
⦁ The minimum Criteria for passing National MDCAT is securing at least 60% marks in National MDCAT.
⦁ THE National MDCAT registration fee is 1500rs.
AMC Entrance Exam
AMC is Pakistan Army Medical College Exams that are only for medical students. Those students who have passed their FSc pre-medical are eligible to take this exam. If you are successful in passing the AMC exam then you will be selected as a medical cadet in the Pakistan army and there you study Medicine. There are approximately 120 seats for all the aspirants of the AMC exam of which 50% are reserved for the children of army cadets and leftover for civilians.
The eligibility criteria for the AMC exam is that you should have
⦁ FSc pre Medical or equivalent education.
⦁ Unmarried at the time of application.
⦁ Age between 17 years to 25 years.
⦁ The aspirant must have at least 60% marks in FSc pre-medical and Matric.
The admission test for AMC is conducted in all the major cities in Pakistan but for this, you first have to apply for AMC exams which may be online or at any Army Selection and Recruitment Center in Pakistan. After this, you will get roll no slip for the AMC exam and will be selected after successfully passing physical, Intelligence, medical test, and interview. The AMC entry test contains 40% MCQs based on Biology, 30% Chemistry, 15% physics, and 15% English.
After successfully clearing all these processes you will be called to join the Pakistan army as a medical cadet and will continue your MBBS at AMC.
NUMS MDCAT
NUMS MDCAT is also another entry test for medical students the registration of which will open from 28 August 2021 to 11 September 2021 While the NUMS MDCAT will be held on 11 October 2021. The registration fee for the NUMS MDCAT is 3000 rs which is not refundable. NUMS entrance exam will be held in the major cities in all the provinces of Pakistan. NUMS makes aggregate by weighing 50% marks in FSc pre-Medical and 50% in NUMS MDCAT.
There will be 200 MCQS in NUMS MDCAT out of which 80 MCQS from Biology, 60 MCQS from Chemistry, 40 MCQs from Physics, and 20 MCQS from English as well there will be not any negative marking in NUMS MDCAT.
Engineering Entry Tests
Entry Test after FSc pre-engineering
ECAT
ECAT stands for Engineering College Admission Test. ECAT is an entrance exam for engineering students which is conducted by UET, Lahore in Punjab Pakistan. In order to appear in ECAT, you have to visit https://admission.uet.edu.pk/Modules/EntryTest/ from there you will get a challan then you have to pay this challan at HBL, and in return, they will give you challan no. which you will now use to get you to admit card. In order to get your admit card, you have to log in using your serial and challan number. After successfully logging in you will get your admit card which you have to carry with you when you will go to ECAT.
All the intermediate students with the following combination are able to appear in ECAT:

⦁ Physics+Math+Statistics
⦁ Physics+Math+Computer Science
UET has started the registration from 12 April 2021 which is open till 17 May 2021 While the first UET ECAT will be held on 24 May 2021.
