Khelo India Winter National Games concluded on Tuesday at the famous ski resort of Gulmarg in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir recently topped the medal table in the second edition of the Khelo India Winter National Games. Jammu and Kashmir won 11 gold, 18 silver and 5 bronze medals.
The five-day mega sports program, which began on February 26, has ended at the famous ski resort of Gulmarg in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir. Which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
More than 1,000 athletes from 27 states and union territories took part in the Khelo India Winter Games. Which was organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council and Winter Sports Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
The second edition of the Khelo India Winter Games is being considered as a major step towards making Jammu and Kashmir the centre of the Winter Games.
