India tied up with World Bank to Enhance Schooling in Nagaland
Recently, the Government of India and the Government of Nagaland and the World Bank have signed a $ 68 million agreement for "Nagaland: Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources Project".
The $ 68 million loans from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) has a final maturity of 14.5 years with a grace period of 5 (five) years. With this, 1,50,000 students and 20,000 teachers in the government education system in Nagaland will benefit from statewide reform in schools.
Its main objective is to increase the governance of schools in Nagaland, improve classroom instruction; Will create technology systems to provide opportunities for the professional development of teachers, and to provide greater access to blended and online learning to students and teachers, as well as to allow better monitoring of policies and programs.
